The ticked is a very rare type of brindle in the Norwegian cat, now almost extinct.

The Ticked is the classic tigratura  of wild animals such as lynxes.

What Peter Clausson Friis called the lynx-cat was perhaps the "real Norwegian Forest Cat." -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ there are many similarities;   are both large cats, with high legs, round feet, long mane and tufts of hair on the ears.
